If there ever comes a time

If there ever comes a time
when I stop complimenting you,
letting you know how precious
you are to me,
or making you feel beautiful,
tell me,
because sometimes
I get so caught up in my mind,
I don't realize I'm overlooking you.
If there ever comes a time
when all I do is make you cry,
and my everyday ritual is saying,
"I'm sorry. I apologize".
If there ever comes a time
when I don't treat you like my Queen,
begin to overlook your true value,
or don't care about your dreams,
tell me,
because sometimes
I get so caught up in my mind,
I don't stop to realize
I'm overlooking you.
If there ever comes a time
when I stop listening to your voice,
because you're my voice of reason,
not by design but by choice,
please tell me,
because sometimes
I get so caught up in my mind,
I don't realize
I'm overlooking you.
Set me straight
If I'm out of line,
If there ever comes a time.
