IF THE NIGHT CEASES TO COME

The world would be a merrier place
Where people worry not
What tomorrow brings
For there would be nothing to look up to.

We would go about our business
In absolute happiness
Light reigning supreme
Exercising power over the dark.

If night ceases to come
Surely we would tire of the sun.
As ingrates, we are
We would still question His grace.
