If Only You Knew

Heaven is your home now thank the good Lord
If only you knew your roses have bloomed
Our daughter trims them the way you adored
Without such memories we'd both be doomed

We had a picnic today just for you
If only you knew the tears that were shed
We ate your roast beef and bean salad too
And never talked of the future we dread

It has been a year since you went away
If only you knew how slowly it passed
Each night seems as if it has come to stay
'Til a new day without you dawns at last

And so the world is smaller without you
But, oh, you are loved - if only you knew

The ache remains as memories unstained and yet we may choose to release to put the soul at ease that love eternal is Gods miracle, within. Congrats on your win!

A death can really bury deep inside the heart. The pain slowly , but surly passes, but their image and memory will always be there. Congratulations, Larry , on your win! Hugs Eve

Thanks, Eve. She passed away during this pandemic when I could not visit in the hospital. So she had to do it alone and i doubt if I'll get over that.
