Notes About The Poem
Written for Mothering Sunday - 10th March in the UK

If Only I Could for Mothering Sunday

I'd visit you in heaven if I could With a bouquet of roses, yes I would Celestial beauty of music I'd play For you mother on this your special day. I'd write a poem to your heart from mine To say I love you, and will for all time For all that you did with kindness and mirth To me you were the best mother on earth. I'd climb the highway to heaven for you Do anything that you wanted me to If it meant I could be there beside you To celebrate this day together, we two. I'd pour us a glass of sparkling champagne As we relive our memories again Then dance by the light of silvery night And greet the man in the moon in space flight. I'd give you hugs in your home far away If I could, I would for you mom today.

Beryl, we honor our moms, but you go even beyond with love and appreciation. She must have been a really good person.

Duke, my mother was an angel to me, but aren’t all mothers angels to their children. They say there’s no love like a mother’s love, to me that’s the truth. Thank you, Beryl

Dear Beryl, Your poem touched the deepest chords of my heart. The longing and love written into each line was filled with passion. Your imagery of celestial beauty and the bond between a mother and child transcends earthly bounds. It's a testament to the enduring power of love. Your words evoke both nostalgia and hope, showing us of the eternal connection we share. Such heartfelt sentiments. Happy Mothering Sunday to you and your beloved mother. - Blessings, Beryl, - Daniel

Oh Daniel, you have touched my heart too, having read such a delightful review from you. All mothers are special and dwell in the heart of their children forever. My mother passed on sixteen years ago, yet I think of her every day and safe in my heart is where she’ll stay. Thank you and bless you dear Daniel… Beryl
