If Only

Stray words echo in windy waste,
Feel thought mellow in rancid haste.

Know that feeling that tells a lot,
Feel a knowing in hidden plot.

Heed the music in things tragic,
Weed the static with new tactic.

If only you dare your last stand,
Show how you care to frame a plan.

Anxious knows best the fatal flight,
Curious works zest in brand new light.

We go and come in dreary gloom,
As if to sum this hostile room.

From distant dreams stray echoes urge,
Seek thus the stream where love funds surge.

Rust, dust and dirt in odd mirage,
Heavy the flood in cryptic mush.

So here we go with anxious shouts,
Meet swirls and blows and fake time-out.
