If Only

If Only

when I feel stressed

I would try to do my best

to only think of my mama

when I took her picture

in a lush field

last summer.

There was cat tails

standing ever so high.

weeds were all around,

so it made it difficult to

sit her on the ground.

The sun was shining brightly

while wearing her powder blue dress,

in a field of tall grass

looked like she was in heaven.

If only

when I feel stressed

I could close my eyes

and only think of Golden

cat tails rubbing up against.

my legs as I set the stage

to take a perfect picture

on that day.

Of my mama standing in

a field of dreams.

while smelling the rag weed

it turned out to be

the most beautiful picture

I ever seen.
