If Only

If only you could know what's in my heart, If only I had ways and the words to tell you. If only you could know I'm falling apart, If only there was a world we could go to so I can show you. Nothing will ever put this flame out, It's starting to peel the skin off me -- I'm getting naked. How can my heart be screaming so loud? Why are there so many people calling me -- from in my head? If only you could tell me what you're made out of, So I know what has me falling so hard. If only there was a button I could switch off, Before I die from being so tortured.

Strong poem. Raw emotions. Longing for someone, and hiding feelings can kill a person. But there is no magical button, and that flame will only grow, as I am sure you have felt.
