If Only

Her tears are dried and life is good.
Sitting here she feels like the world revolves in slow motion;
And she gives her friends everything she is,all her devotion.
It's hard to let go but she knows she can try.
She finally has realized that it was for the best;
And her hurt goes away, no more pains in her chest.

Everyone around her notices that she is finally happy.
Starting over is what she wants and what she's gunna get;
And then suddenly those feelings return from when they first met.
Her best friend says don't worry he'll notice and it'll be fine;
And everything will work out, but she knows it won't, it's always one big game.
She wants him to notice and feel the same.

It's time to let go of the past and move on.
And she finally has the strength to do it, she wants something new;
She hopes that this one will be different,that he won't hurt her too.
Silly emotions fill up inside and her joy is overwhelming;
Everyone can see that this girl has found someone new.
And she believes its true.. if only he knew.

Thanks for sharing this... exposing your thoughts through your unique poetic style. Meanwhile, I greet you with the love of the Lord, expressed by John 3:16 of the Bible, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." Be blessed.
