If Not My Lord, Then the Devil

If the Lord is our Defender, who is it that offends us? If the Lord is our Salvation, who is it that spites us? If the Lord is our Healer, who is it that sickens us? If the Lord is our Light, who is it that darkens the world around us? If the Lord is our Strength, who is it that weakens us? If the Lord maketh us whole, who is that breaks us? If the Lord is our Redeemer, who is it that brings through tears? If the Lord is our Love, who is it that wants hate to be felt? If the Lord is our Shield, who is it that causes us harm? If the Lord is our Provider, who is it that taketh away? If the Lord is our Voice from above, who is that silences us? If the Lord gives us riches, who is it that sends poor strife? If the Lord is our body and blood, who is it that causes disease? If the Lord gives us hope, who is it that knocks all hope away? If the Lord feeds us, who is it that starveth our bodies? If the Lord brings us life, who is it to challenge Him by trying to take our souls? I speak and say to you, only the devil would be insane enough to challenge my Lord and Savior.
