If Nkrumah Had Not Died

If Nkrumah Had Not Died

If situations hadn't killed Nkrumah
He'd have for long served us
with special African okra
the green soup would still be emitting its powerful aroma

Like every good leader tries he paid the price
Made a
genuine sacrifice
though not for many years it would not suffice
And aid us to attain the prize
For freedom, enhancement and justice
If the people of this generation do not support
Good dreams,
A great vision
An enterprise like his.

He has died and gone
But thank God he survived his birth and landed on our rich soil
from the womb of our country's morning....
