If My Heart Were A Rose Garden

If my heart were a rose garden I would pick one satin rose everyday, for my ravishing ruby beloved, whose heart beats in delicate violets, whose gaze sings me lavender lullabies, whose touch I crave like someone dying in Sahara, whose face I miss the most, on days twisting and turning as a meandering melancholic river, and on numb nights, I am left empty as a poignant porcelain vase. Oh my vanilla scented beauty, come make me beam under your gasping glory, awaiting you to wrap these parched heartbeats in your shimmering shadows. Oh my sepia smudged sweetness, spaces within my dotted scribbles crave your presence, come be my destiny in epilogue of eternity, where you and I, will be a story spun in splendour -- flowing freely in cocooned calligraphic elegance.

Sweet love poetry, though I think I'd avoid calling him my sepia smudged sweetness lol. Otherwise, I'm sure he'd love it. You words and style here remind me a bit of the Song of Solomon in the Bible

Hey Ayesha.. poem beautifully captures the essence of romantic love, with the speaker's yearning for their beloved's embrace and the desire to be enveloped in their shimmering shadows. The use of sensory details, such as vanilla scent and sepia smudges, adds depth and texture to the portrayal of affection and desire. It conveys a sense of hope and anticipation, with the speaker eagerly awaiting the moment when they can be reunited with their beloved and become intertwined in a story of enduring love and elegance.. It's a heartfelt ode to the power of love to transform and illuminate even the darkest of nights.
