If My Heart Were A Rose Garden
If my heart were a rose garden
I would pick one satin rose
everyday,
for my ravishing ruby beloved,
whose heart beats in delicate violets,
whose gaze sings me lavender lullabies,
whose touch I crave like
someone dying in Sahara,
whose face I miss the most,
on days twisting and turning
as a meandering melancholic river,
and on numb nights,
I am left empty
as a poignant porcelain vase.
Oh my vanilla scented beauty,
come make me beam
under your gasping glory,
awaiting you to wrap
these parched heartbeats
in your shimmering shadows.
Oh my sepia smudged sweetness,
spaces within my dotted scribbles
crave your presence,
come be my destiny
in epilogue of eternity,
where you and I,
will be a story spun in splendour --
flowing freely
in cocooned calligraphic elegance.
