If Men Ruled the World

If men ruled the world, There would be room in the garage for the car, There would be less pollution, As everyone would take first available car park, Instead of keeping the engine running and double parking While waiting for one closest to shop door. If men ruled the world, All houses would have a man cave, Preferably with a good library. If men ruled the world, Taking out the garbage would be a shared experience. Wardrobe space would be divided in half And the number of shoes one person could own would be limited. If men ruled the world, How to keep crumbs and spills off clothes, Would no longer be a secret known only to women. We would all only buy the one thing we came into the shop for. If men ruled the world, Water would be conserved By only showering every other day. All children would get to jump in puddles And they would not be allowed to come inside, Without a little dirt on their Knees Or under their nails. If men ruled the world, One suit case per person would be sufficient, For a family holiday. If men ruled the world, How to store items so they won't fall on your head, Would be a core subject in school, As would giving men time to carry out first instruction, Before second, third or fourth is given.

Thank you. It does not pay to take ourselves too seriously. Poetry helps me in this. Hope you are coping with restrictions that are in place to reduce spread of virus. I pray you stay safe and if you get virus you will survive. Regards David in NZ
