If Love Was

If love was a one sided affair always
Then Adam would have been depressed
Romeo would have moved on to become a greater man

If love was truly as wicked as we make it seem
Our fathers would have been FATHERS
And our mothers SISTERS
We would have almost not been born

If love was really as cruel a thing as we place it
Bloodshed would have been the trend
Hatred would be a normal thing of the day
Our Nations would have been down to Earth already


If love was really a sad thing
Then the streets would have been filled with tears of humanity.
