If Love Be Ever So Blind
If Love be ever so blind
The attraction to such fair a grace
Would scarcely be so strong defined
But fade sharply off with ne'er a trace
If Love be ever so blind.
If Love be ever so blind
Warm breath would not escape
A soul when adoring eyes do find
The stellar charm hair does drape
If Love be ever so blind
If Love be ever so blind
Rainbows would be a vivid gray
Lost amidst the clouds, undefined;
And night no longer contrasts the day
If Love be ever so blind
If Love be ever so blind
When such a vision lights the darkest sky
The sun, moon and stars entwined!
Why can I see so clearly, why?
If Love be
ever so
blind
