If Lonesome Had a Name

If lonesome had a name

So strong are the words left unspoken

So many nights I still lay awake thinking

There must be a reason my pride.....fear....sense gets the best of me

Will this be worth it in the end?

Succumbing to emotions can never happen

Feelings are out of the question

But.......

Sometimes I long for your grasp.....your gaze.....tender stroke on my delicate
skin......soft pressure on my lips........subtle vulnerability of your hand placed in mine.

Then I come to my sensible being, tell myself its better this way

Because something won't let u be ready........affectionate......emotional......mine, nor I

But oh how I long for you in my night.........day.......dreams.........heart........soul

If lonesome had a name
