If It's Real
Gentle breezes whispered by
Beautiful scenery filled my eye
But there was something that I missed
Breezes, though so calming
Could not fill the longing
Of wanting to be kissed
Surrounding waves engulfed me
But soon they too felt empty
For I could only think of you
Scerenity holds its charms
But I'd rather be lost within your arms
Dear heart, I'm missing you
But still you cannot see
These words I've written thee
My heart I can't reveal
I feel I still must hide
These feelings deep inside
I'm trying to conceal
But when each thought of you
Just thrills me through and through
I'm swept away it seems
When each meeting's soon engraved
And is oftentimes replayed
In the sweetest of my daydreams
So, I'm lost within the tide
Of feelings felt and yet denied
In a ceaseless ebb and flow
Of wanting you and yet
Trying to forget
What I already know
I dreamed of someone who
Reminds me very much of you
Do you somehow feel the same?
Though, I did not know till now
I've always wanted you and how
Some part of me cries out your name
But you wont catch me trying to find
Some slick way to change your mind
If it's just not how you feel
For, if it's meant to be
I guess some day then we'll see
But only someday if it's real
