if it's not love
if it's not love
what has it become
once, we were the ones
who left the others in awe
of our passion, our nearly lethal dose
of lust and complete abandon
now, the linens are barely ruffled
the room smells of soap and softeners
our days are spent in silence
in the worries of the world that
has stolen the souls of lovers
gone before, gone forever
if it's not love
what has it become
