If I Were Your Love

If I were your love, my dear,
I'd hold you close and wipe your tear.
I'd cherish every moment we share,
And show you just how much I care.

If I were your love, my sweet,
I'd kiss you softly and sweep you off your feet.
I'd give you all my heart and soul,
And together we would be whole.

If I were your love, my love,
I'd be your angel from above.
I'd guide you through life's twists and turns,
And make sure your heart forever burns.

If I were your love, my darling,
I'd be your shelter from life's storming.
I'd protect you and keep you safe,
And make sure your smile never fades.

If I were your love, my dearest,
I'd always be sincere and honest.
I'd be your partner through thick and thin,
And always strive to make you grin.

So my love, if you ever wonder,
Just know that I'll always be your thunder.
I'll be your rock, your light, your dove,
Because that's what I'd do if I were your love.
