If I Were Prime Minister

If I were Prime Minister
The air would be pure
Greenery would dominate
And nobody would be poor
Health would be a priority & Malta would flourish
Our land fully nourished
The Sandy beaches will light up across the Island
When the Moonlight hovers over its warm golden sands
We'll hear the sound of horses' hooves & that of a drum From Musical bands we''ll listen to the people hum
Couples will walk by hand in hand
Tourism will increase
Year after year
People flocking to visit to enjoy the Summer days & nights
In our beautiful Malta, our paradise
We'll hear the clinking of glasses
As People Celebrate life
All races welcome here
Girl or boy
Malta will be safe, there'd be nothing to fear
Criminals will be sent far far away
And we will live happily every single day!

A lovely piece Brigitte penned so excellently with nice rhyme and flow. Indeed it would be great if our own lands could find such a reality but sadly not, I'm in Scotland and it's full of its own problems too. Have a blessed day ,Gordon

A great poem about what we all really want, whether we know it or not. I wish it were like this in the USA too.

A Malta Prime Ministerial Hopeful and her Unachievable Election Promises! A Poem literally asking us to be on guard against Loud-Mouthed Politicians seeking our invaluable votes.

Ha ha! I am Maltese and write poetry. If I were Prime Minister is what I would wish would happen on this corrupt Island! And who are you>

All sounds good. There are other good poets in Malta that would make good ministers to help you. Tourism may need to be limited as it can Quickly become a curse. Best wishes David in NZ

I wouldn't choose poets. We'd make lousy Prime Ministers. I would choose great lawyers and other friends of mine that believe in justice and are morally sound.
