If I Were Asked

If
I were asked, my dear
What in you I would like
To change,
My answer, emphatically,
NOTHING, would be, 
Unchanged, I wish you 
To remain,

FOR

How could I dare interfere
With your splendid being in
Any way, 
When 
Our Lord, in HIS infinite wisdom,
Has you, my love,
So 
Perfectly MADE?
