If I Were a Seagull

If I were a seagull I would soar
far above the world from shore to shore,
gliding on the Thermals' easy ride
over cliffs and rugged countryside.

Sunkissed, I would swoop down to the land
skim the crested waves and scour the sand,
then as sunset blushed across the sky
stretch my silver wings and start to fly.

Ahh!! This one took me on a ride up high with that gull. Enjoyed reading your winner. Way to go. Congrats. Sara

Being close to the New Jersey shore, I frequently hear their laugh-like calls as they scavenge the area. Good write.

Thank you, Robert. I must admit that I'm happier just looking at them at a distance. They have a nasty streak!
