If I Were a Poet Now
If i were a poet i would trap you in every line.
Making me the apple of your eye.
My taste of words, ill have you try.
My pen would caress your every curb,i would make you act upon every verb.
Your sad storytelling i would disturb.
If i were a poet i would write you a home,a warm place,with me.
Never alone.
If i were a poet i would tickle your fancy, with my rhymes and lure you close to the end of lines.
Your heart would be captured by my pen, captured by the links of ink.
If i were a poet you would pop out of pages, living to see divine eternal ages.
Your heart would be gold.
Your mind wise like the humble old.
If i were a poet i would bind universal poetic fores, then click my pen.
My ink then saving you from the lions den.
