If I Was Yours
I roam the city streets,
I tread this rocky road alone
There’s a pathway that leaves me breathless
There’s a Utopia beyond imaginable
There’s no war, no strife, no hatred
There’s no pain, no sadness, no dread
I believe in You…I made it through
The pangs of pressure
I open wide my eyes like open doors
You and I spring up like seashores
We’ll drive this road of vibrant love
If I was a car,
I’d drive you away from the fallen dove
If I was a train,
I’d get off track…I zip through the tunnel
If I was yours,
I’d be the happiest man in the world
The radio is blasting in our joyous ears
The journey of life will continue on for years
But You’re my hope…
My only cure to this fretful spirit
The mountains that keep me courageous
The sky is ours,
We must keep it nice and precious
If I were the night,
I’d let my moon shine on you
If I were in a good mood,
I’d be the sunrise…twinkling so true
I hover around the fantastic forest,
I trek this trial with you in mind,
But you were always by my side
Somehow, love has blocked my view
There’s a Utopia beyond epic!
There’s peace, truth, love
There’s a healing process that produces happiness, not artificial
I have faith in You…I made it through
The pangs of dispair…
I fly in the heaven’s light,
I feel this sweet sensation
But, I’m spiraling around the place,
Orbiting the sun,
Honoring the son
I can feel your uncertainty slip out of my hands
It entwines me… it digs deep in my soul
Your delicate tune rings true to my ears…
We will arrive on beautiful lands
I’m stepping out of the black hole of my mind
We must remain together and be partners to escape this journey
Before we meet our end
But, we’ll… eventually bring this hardship to an end
Don’t look at me with envy glued in your eyes
Don’t glare me down…I know the truth behind these lies
The truth will delete it in no time
The world is not what you call a place of serenity
