If I Ruled the World

If i ruled the world ? The thing that i would pray and wish for first and foremost above all else Is that i do not fall victim to the seduction and power of corruption Because if this is the fate which i and those over whom i am to rule awaits Then respectfully my answer to the question is no comment i wish to plead the 5th amendment As i would rather choose to be a subject to be ruled over Than stand a single chance however slight that may be of becoming a dictator , sycophant or tyrant If i ruled the world ? I would put the world to right's As thing's couldn't get any worse but potentially could get so much better

David Sir my friend re-read your comment or reply aa it is the perfect repost or poem in itself . If you want or are so deluded into thinking you could do the job or are deserving then that should immediately disqualify you from ever taking it up. Amazing isn't it that no top political job actually pays well yet they all will kill for the job

Heh heh cheers Christopher but I don’t think I could deal with the hassle of people with differing ideals religions ideology, etc it’s a thought provoking poem but the status quo will always continue just in different guises, I cannot think of anyone I’d nominate to rule this world it’s just too damn diverse. By the way how much does it pay, see what I mean Cheers David

And on 2nd thought or reflection. Why not give it a shot Could i or or any other mere mortal do any worse than those who would wish to as surely that in itself is a reason not to. After reading your poetry and delving into your empathetic views on matters of life's great important issues . You would get my vote Sir

Great question David You ?? Honestly off the top of my head no 1 spring's to mind at all. I'd have to give that question a serious amount of consideration and thought.
