If I Had One Turn Back

If time cracked open
and handed me one chance,
I wouldn’t chase kings or kingdoms,
wouldn’t rewrite history books.

I’d go back to the small things
the dinners I skipped,
the calls I let ring,
the hugs I rushed through
because I thought
I had all the tomorrows.

I’d hold my people longer,
laugh louder,
listen deeper.
I’d trade my selfish moments
for softer ones,
let love take the front seat
instead of my own storms.

If time let me touch just one thread,
I’d weave back the warmth
I didn’t know I’d miss
and maybe, just maybe,
I’d come back lighter,
knowing I didn’t waste
what mattered most.
