If I Had My Way you'd be here 
With me today
If I Had My Way you would of
Got away
'Cuz it doesn't seem right now
Without you in my life but
If I Had My Way somehow
Someway I'd find a way to make
You love me again just like 
Yesterday If I Had My Way oh

For you are still the fire that burns
Within my heart like a candle in the
Dark, you are the dream I dream 
Every day and every night oh my
First love you're still the love of my 
Life and if you could hear my prayers
Now I know you'd hear them say...
