if i could take your hand

if i could take your hand
what moments we would be
such wondrous fragments of glass
an anchor in the sea

coldness gently caresses
a stream across the face
no element could marvel
our broken lies replace

love upon an action
though instantaneous it seems
it takes it's time and patience
and visits through our dreams
