If I could paint the world

If I could paint the world, I’d paint a smile on every face. I’d make the rain a sunshine hue, Each drop, refreshing warmth to trace. I’d paint the clouds a daring red, And banish greys forevermore. The night I’d paint a shimmering white, With pretty flowers scattered over. I’d paint a rainbow low enough For kids to play and laugh, then slide. I’d colour oceans with bubbles and blue, To match the joy that fills the tide. And when I’ve got the frame just right, I’d paint us hand in hand, held tight. With every stroke, the world would be A place for love, eternally.
