If I Could Capture Sunshine

If I Could Capture Sunshine

If I could capture sunshine
I would plant it in my heart
and nourish it with gentle love and care.

I would let it grow forever
like a forest it would fill me
and devour all the darkness that lies there.

If I could capture sunshine
I would gather up the rays
and hold aloft some of the radiant beams.

Shining like a golden beacon
they would lead me to the water
flowing in the crystal river of my dreams.
