If Ghosts Are Real

If ghosts are real, then here I drift—
A silver whisper in the night,
A shadow stitched to moonlit mist,
Unseen except by trembling light.
I haunt the stair, the ancient hall,
Where memories like raindrops fall—
A faded laugh, a gentle sigh,
The echo of a last goodbye.
If ghosts are real, then I recall
The touch of hands, the sound of song;
These walls remember every fall,
The hours lost that linger long.
The living pass in hurried streams.
I reach, but time has grown between.
My voice is wind, my eyes are dreams—
I am the space that lies unseen.
If ghosts are real, I do not fear
The hush that fills the empty air.
In longing’s glow, I persevere,
A hope that someone knows I’m here.
So let your heart be soft and wise,
The world is wider than it seems;
If ghosts are real, then love survives
Beyond the edge of midnight dreams.
