If flowers had memories

If flowers had memories Would they remember spring? Would they suffer through the harsh winds of winter and the icy flakes from the sky— just to bloom in spring again? Maybe some of them can’t handle the grief of forgotten wisps from a once-lovely season. So they fall, not knowing where they’ll land— just understanding maybe it’s better there. Or perhaps some cling to the branches, knowing spring will return. It’s possible a few see beauty in snow-capped stillness and the biting cold, and choose to stay. Logically, they wouldn’t remember at all. But what if they did?
