If Eyes Could Speak

If eyes could speak
My eyes will stop blinking
And tell my heart nonstop about you
For days months years and lifetimes

If eyes could speak
My eyes will gossip with winds
In nights of your tresses
For hours of sands and deserts

If eyes could speak
My eyes will whisper along your sharp undulations
With slippery sighs and verses
Miles after miles centuries after centuries

If eyes could speak
My eyes will plead with death
To stay back for a while with me
And listen to your breathing while you sleep

If only eyes could speak
