If a Dog Could Speak

When I was a puppy
I used to run and play

15 years later
Now I sit and lay

I do not bark
and I do not bite

I love going for walks
and I sleep all night

Take me for a ride
and I will sit and look

I only eat dog food
nothing from a cookbook

Buy me a leash
Buy me a toy

Give me some bones
and I will jump with joy
