Ides of October

I asked the Hunter’s Moon
to light my way
show me the path
the direction to take
so I arrive by your side
Everlasting.

I called out to the Light of Luna
for secret ways
to hold your heart
and pleaded for a hint
of what is required to produce
Forever.

I prayed to The Man,
begged for an answer
On a breeze from the west
he replied,
“Be still.” And so
I wait patiently for my
Destiny.

Your endless
beautiful love
