Identity

A struggle for my own identity
Whether it’s fact or mentally
Someone to love or hate
I know that I am straight
Naughty or nice
Or just enough to surfice
I was never shown to be someone
Just to be the pathetic dumb son
Fundamentally lacking in life skills
Taught myself how to pay bills
I’ve always been bad with money
Not disciplined but bummy
I was not guided in my feelings
Always look for hidden meanings
I was taught to not trust people
Instead I find some people evil
Doesn’t mean I have to be mean in return
Or even show kindness and concern
I’m very cold in nature
Just like a single flavour
I was never shown love or romance
Just had to stare at the expanse
I never knew if I was good or bad
Never had the chance to be sad or mad
All feelings were forbidden
Thats what happens when your hidden
Only had drive to escape
The future unknown only me to create
I taught myself independence
Only myself in attendance
No social skills built up
Only the little I picked up
Life’s journey has been filled with craters
Surrounded by liars and curators
Never given a chance to grow
Or been a person to show
Who am I, I don’t know
My identity still a mystery
