I'D Much Rather Be

I’d much rather be your boat on rough seas
to carry you wherever you go
I’d much rather be your guiding light 
in your darkest hour to cover the shadows
I’d much rather be a bird in flight 
with you in my sight
I’d much rather be a quarter moon
to give you a smile as big as can be
I’d much rather be a shooting star 
so that you can wish upon me
Oh my love I’d much rather be…….

I’d much rather be a flower that blooms 
so the fragrance makes you heady
I’d much rather be your cup of tea 
so that your lips touch me
I’d much rather be a sweet melody 
to make you dream about me
I’d much rather be there for you 
whenever you need me
