Icy Tears

my hope hangs
with these stars
lost somewhere
beneath darkness
in the valance
of clouds
that hang
overhead
in the somberness
of january's wrath
as it rains down
its icy tears

beyond the hill
the moon hangs still

hope wanders through emotional wastelands, as prayers float towards heaven.

perhaps...prayers always ascend... hope hangs like wishes sometimes... :)

I like the multitude of poems you have created about January, Sandra. Well done!

Thank you January is an odd month...snow, ice, rain, usually bitter cold, biting winds, today it will be in the 60's unusual for us...but it's also my mom's birth month so my muse travels all over the place this month... hugs

Not familiar with this form but that matters not because when I read your work all I see is beauty, regardless of form. Soft, alluring and incredibly beautiful my friend.

Brian Strand had it on the blogs, he does little contests there.. it's 14 lines like a sonnet but no meter or syllable count and no rhyme except the couplet from what i read on the form... sometimes i like trying new styles out... thank you Chris... good morning my friend :) hugs

Had to look up this form--great imagery you created, Sandy, in just a few words.
