ICU

Do you see me,
Here laying in a bed,
Too late I’m gone….

Do you hear me,
Screaming on the inside,
Wishing you were here beside me,
When I received the text of my mom’s passing?
Too late I’m gone…

Do you feel me, an ache for an embrace, dam about to burst, deep inside my soul,
My scars I scratch into my arm, I guess its too low,
Too late I’m gone..

Do you see us,
The everyday battle inside our home,
Nonstop battles of nonstop worries, stress about our daughters future..
Too late we’re gone..

I see you, getting praised left and right, high above us in your pedestal, do you care?
Too late I’m gone..

I’m tired. Tired of fighting, tired of planting a fake smile on my face, suffering that’s never met today’s social media form, laughing at homelessness….

Hey, are you ok?..

Too late,…. The machine has stopped beating……… …..————————————-
