The frigid crystalline facets glimmer. A carpet jeweled with ice, laced with brittle brambles. Wreathed, heavenly laden, pine boughs groan under the weight of winter white.

Wow. Gorgeous write. I am so in love with winter. No, I am a Jersey girl, and I think, just a hunch, we are finally in for a snowy winter. I am hoping anyway. Is that where you are from CT? Where does your son go to school? Enjoy his company, I cannot wait for mine. Love, Shar

Like the alliteration in this one Debbie.Rgds Brian & thanks for your welcome comments. I prefer a specific form rather than free verse,so when an inspiration of words or image happen they seem to fit into one or other of the dozen or so forms that I usually write in.Lanterne is one I am particularly drawn to.But entering the member contests is also another inspiring way to develop.Best wishes with your unique creative giftings you are a welcome addition to the PS family.
