Iced Love

A breath is stolen from me One I do so regret Your tears were phony And my sanity I must fret A cold lipped embrace Leaves me riddled with shame A malignant chase Always riddled with pain I chase the days of blue Leaving behind my past Putting into words of you Among things that will never last I feel the familiar warmth of he A constant, blazing memory The Cold spot he left Upon my yearning chest His fingers leave marks upon my soul An endless, echoing pull I hear this heart of mine Beating with a melancholy whine A sharp sting upon my gaze My mind reeling through this maze Shall I love? Shall I perish? In the end, all is garish, Gnarled bones fit into empty sockets Leave us to refer to our lockets Rusted, faded, memories of old No one ever told me love would feel so cold
