Iceberg Shoes
an aquamarine adventure
his hazel eyes surrender
on a turquoise quilt for two
removing his iceberg shoes
a cobalt coat of harmony
serenity of a cerulean sea
a lapis lazuli lullaby rock
infant’s navy sheets to sleep
shivers of midnight bruise
their chalice of vindigo*
the Winter a brisk sapphirine
a deep-ultramarine hurricane
blue seaweed clings to cradle
seashell-veins grieve loss
predilection of hazel eyes
iceberg shoes tear the quilt asunder
