Notes About The Poem

This poem was composed with the inspiration of my dearest friend and my dearest sister's sister, Skat. 

Ice King

from parents' great love
Blizz was born with warmest heart
conquers cold and dark

he wasn’t suckled
he loved iced pacifier
no baby’s bottle

ice vies.. throbs his grips…
numbs, writhes…never out of breath
strengths spewed…crowned “Ice King."

Note: 

  After  eating an ice cream from my fridge, I took an "ice cube" and had it melted on my palm. The coldness bit; but, as  I gripped, I’d reverie. ;)). The output now is expressed in my poem.

 I’ve never tried  an epic poem before because it’s quite difficult for me;  but, I’m trying. I hope I’ve understood and followed the instruction which is haiku count (or is it form?). I hope you’ll enjoy my experimental poem. Thank you sooo much!  Have a great day!

Poet Destroyer A September 6, 2013 at 8:13 AM Red bull... an energy drink... weeeeeeeeeee... and boy do i have lots of it.. I don't drink them usually.. But, today is Friday. and I have to be quick on my orders. and so far so good. I'm doing my orders and bothering soup poets after ending my short food orders... thanks for the quick hello. Andrea Dietrich July 28, 2013 at 7:22 AM Leonora, neither of us truly did haiku with our haiku form used on ice king, but we got the syllable count right!! I enjoyed the story you produced from your imagery. I couldn't get past the experiment stage to make an epic out of the mere short lines of haiku!! But the assignment WAS to do epic poetry from haiku form and I think you fulfilled the challenge of the contest as best you could!!
