Ice Cubes

Cuddle with me, darling. We are like two ice cubes. Still, we are like twins in a fetal position. And warm, we shall be soon, but cocooned in sleep, not knowing at what hour we warmed each other, but we do remember how we laughed, light flickering in our eyes, as our lips touched in the morning. The ice cube joke between us, intimately humorous.

Dear Kim,this is such a beautiful and intimate poem. The imagery of ice cubes and the warmth that comes with closeness is so tender, and the way you describe that fleeting yet meaningful connection is captivating. I love how the moment of shared laughter and warmth feels like a quiet, precious memory—one that lingers without needing to be fully understood. It's a lovely mix of playfulness and depth!..Hugs

Love the metaphor - ice is barely alone, but it's ice! <3
