Icarus

We all know of Icarus,
The one with bee's wax for wings,
Who fell into the ocean,
Never to be seen.

But everyone forgets,
Icarus also flew,
Higher than anyone dared to.

So true that we can focus on the failure too often.. but to dream and inspire that is where the magic happens. Nicely worded :)

Nice... great use of metaphor and some words of inspiration.. however, sometimes we fly to high or we get placed on a pedestal, the fall is always so much much worse.. nice one and look forward to reading more of your poems.. all the best..
