I Yearn
I yearn
to reach you, upon yonder hill
lay with you on the daffodil
to stare into the southern sky
to dream and hope, just you and I.
I yearn
to break the bonds that hold us in
to love you eternally, with no end
to make you feel the way you should
to let you know that love is good.
I yearn
to tell you all that’s within my heart
to break the walls that tear us apart
to hold you dear within my grasp
to love you, darling, everlast.
