I Write Love Poems

I write love poems 
late at night when I am sad
melancholy grips my soul
my lonely heart bleeds 
love poems based on sadness
when it is dark and lonely.

I write love poems
when no words come easily
and hot, salty, sullen tears 
flow like gushing tides
until I have nothing more
to give to anyone else.

I don't know.
