I Write Love Poems

I write love poems late at night when I am sad melancholy grips my soul my lonely heart bleeds love poems based on sadness when it is dark and lonely. I write love poems when no words come easily and hot, salty, sullen tears flow like gushing tides until I have nothing more to give to anyone else. written September 20, 2021

I am sure your wife knows this, how could she not when it is straight from your heart. I think men seem to write better love poems than women...

I don't know about that, but I did try. I miss Deborah very much, and, occasionally I will write something while reminiscing. Thanks so much for your encouragement, Shirley.

This is the only poem I almost never write "I write love poems when no words come easily" - curiously. But you do, and for a good reason; when you are in the "love poem" mood. Good for you!

Actually, I think I write them when I get to thinking about Deb and I and what a wonderful life we had. I get sentimental, or, maybe melancholy. I don't know.
