Notes About The Poem

I Would Never Let Go

The piano keys burned with the memories
When I stopped playing, the music stopped
The speaking stopped, everything stopped
Like a still picture, my life had become
A new life created, in many ways, not real
Until one day, the images clearly returned
The truth came rolling in day by day
Like waves in a stormy sea to the shore
I played notes, although long forgotten
Now the beginning of a new song
That was now my life, I once discarded
	       - Renewed -
Although, tears were wept on keys
And words now bellowed from me
I had found myself, once again
	- And I would never let go -

Finding oneself, regaining the best of us is our utmost endeavour on the journey of life and after inner turmoils or sufferings.. A deep poem, a flow of genuine feelings, a journey within the soul.. Well crafted and a pleasure to read. Stay safe Heidi.

"Heidi, your free verse is absolutely magnificent.. I love piano, as I play piano. An enjoyable reading, with a touch of melancholy and sweetness.. I can totally relate to this.. Best wishes!"
