I Won'T Cry

Never letting it be seen
So I am in pain
I am hurt and I may never be the same
These effects that are not seen behind my thick skin
This pain is just weakness leaving from within

I won't cry - I resist wet goodbyes
And do not allow you to ask why
In my life I am the only one who will ever know
When a tear drop comes to my eye

I wait in silence for the solace of solitude
But it never comes...

My mind is tripping with so much anxiety deep inside
And I fall on booze in the local pub
Just to stand back and never love

Again...

Retreating with no thought of the past
Twisting between now and then
Like the Cold beneath the Heat
With sweet kisses for her
Planted on bare skin
But never sinking in...
The same mistake
I gave in.
