Poem Inspired by Song "Lonely" by Imagine Dragons
Inspiration : Imagine Dragons' Song "Lonely" I’m so lonely in my own world, stranded outside of where I want to be, trying to find my shadow of who I want to be. In a crowded room full of known faces I’m alone nursing the deep wound no potion can heal. I’ve nowhere to escape from the void, from what I don’t want to be, to be lonely. Nobody hears me across the walls I’ve built, my voice is a lone echo in the dark. Would the walls ever cave in, so everybody can see me, hear my voice resonate with their heartbeats. My love is forlorn without you, like a dew drop of dawn I glow in my lonesome meadow. I plead you make love bloom my lonely bud in the valley of flowers. I walk alone the desolate path in twilight, the scarlet sky touches me in the horizon. There I wait for you to come to me, touch my heart in the crimson clouds. I won’t be lonely. On the dry desert dunes I walk thirsty, beyond the mirage an oasis I find in me. I wait for you to come to its shore, reflected in the lake I’ll see you. I won’t be lonely. Let love surge like a stream in me, murmur a charming lyric of new life. I’ll sing the song for you, my heart will float on waves of your joy. I won’t be lonely.
