I Won'T Be Fooled
What is love?
I've told and been told
felt the joy & pain of it all
And like a dream
the moment it seems most real
is when it starts to fade away
With open eyes, you awake
...to reality
And after every experience
the end's inevitable question is:
Was it ever really love at all?
No. I guess not.
Now the past is the past
but my heart has found another
to wrap itself around to
but doubts and fear crouch in
And any time I'm close to saying
those three magical words
Logic wins,
I hold back
I won't be fooled again
